Diamond Jubilee Park
This park extends back quite a long way and beyond are allotments, a large playing field which is used for football matches on a Sunday and used to be home to a Christmas circus in the 1970s. The field extends back to Brookfield Road, and Cheadle Park Road Cemetery.
Alderman Fletcher Moss, who lived in Didsbury at The Parsonage, is buried in this Cemetery. He started the horse bus which ran between Cheadle (the White Hart) and Manchester, via Didsbury. He was also a friend of James Watts of Abney Hall and they used to travel around the country together.
