Bullocks have been in Cheadle since the early 1920s when the business started as a small-scale haulage firm based at Oak farm in Oak Road, which was once owned by the Goddard family. The business was founded by Ralph Bullock on his return from World War 1. He bought a truck and began delivering all around the area. The firm grew, and more vehicles were purchased as more and more business came his way.
During World War 2 they transported munitions but after the end of the war they had to find a new business because haulage had been nationalised. This is when they moved completely over to coaches and excursions.
Nowadays it is still a family firm, being run by four of Ralph Bullocks grand-children
